"This is a good place to buy souvenirs. My only tip is to negotiate the prices. Because some spots would try to charge you extra. And also be careful. It didn’t seem like the safest place to be shopping at"

"Place has potential, cheap price and in a great location; however, it needs some work. Our sheets had to be changed after check in, bath did not have water pressure. They did mention that they are still remodeling so it may be better with time. Update: The manager refunded us our money without asking due to the issues."

"He should go. It is here that we can feel the true spirit of Santo Domingo, the old colonial city. There's an air rest zone, a café, restaurants, first new light, Columba monument. Street musicians play here, sell souvenirs, you can sit in stores and enjoy the beauty of the city, try street food. The pigeons are a whole trip, too."

"I had a wonderful time. The room was good and very clean. Breakfast was perfect , very delicious. The employees were pleasant and helpful. The building is old and beautiful but has very narrow stairs without Elevator but no complain was very nice time."

"Wonderful apartahotel for 1,250 DOP .. Highly recommended for single thug type indio black hispanics with limited budget.. NOT conducive for any single females white people who are tourist this place outside is like being in the Bronx NYC or Washington Heights NYC or Spanish Harlem NYC or Wynnwood FL or Little Santo Domingo Allapattah Miami FL. SO if you have never been in that kind of environment I would highly recommend you to stay in the touristy area of Zona Colonial. The sreets are noisy the homeless dogs bark often .. your apartment has a secured iron gate key entry; where you see a wash machine .. the front door has a key entry where you enter into your kitchen area with a refridge sink stove, pot and pan and few other cooking utensils with a nice wooden 4 seat table you then have your bedroom whit a key lock door as you enter you will see a chair a dresser a 36 flat screen TV a double bed with an air unit above it and then the bathtoom during my stay i did not have hot water for showering but that is normal in most places in DR .. Ive recommended to Socrates to have a circular fan in the room so it can be used to reduce the noise level so the guest can get a good night sleep .."
