"This is a new restaurant in the area so we decided to give it a try. Our friends had been and their comments were that it was beautifully decorated, very expensive, the staff were lovely and lastly nice food, in that order. Our experience was similar, but I would also add that it is pretentious and you go away hungry! Nouvelle cuisine is not practiced much anymore as people recognise that it is a tiny bit of food on huge plates which are just chefs showing off. We have eaten in many Michelin star restaurants and know that this type of food is really out of date nonsense sadly this restaurant hasn’t realised this. Yes the food is nicely prepared, some was far too salty but the main course was a complete joke! One tiny cube of fillet of beef, a tablespoon of jus (sauce) and 2 extremely small Pommes soufflées which are basically just crisps with no substance at all as they are hollow, all presented on a very big plate, no other vegetables. The beef was tasty but that was thanks to the farmer who raised the animal, not to the expertise of the chef any grill chef could have cooked it just as well. You could have put ALL the courses on one normal plate and still had lots of room, for this they charged €60. I have seen photos on Trip Advisor of the food, we certainly didn’t get portion sizes like that, I think they are very misleading. We both enjoyed the vanilla soufflé for dessert. Our final bill for 2 people was over €200 far too expensive for most people who live in this part of France, perhaps you might be able to get away with this in Paris. A lot of good restaurants have closed in the area as people can’t afford to eat out a lot, to be honest I can’t see this one lasting as nowadays folk want at least reasonable value for money not just expensive pretentious nonsense. The decor of the restaurant is nice, the staff are attentive. We will vote with our feet and not return."
