"We arrived at 7:30 pm happy, thirsty and hungry. An abrupt welcome and request to understandably sanitize our hands started the experience. The cozy lodge feeling inspired us to order. Lovely rustic setting and great location. Good service and team work. Good WEISS beer. Nice...bread basket with a house pate.... a meh simple green chopped lettuce, tomato and onion salad was the first red flag. The food is 'tired '. Unevenly cooked uninspiring almost dry bonidola (pork) with shoestring fries and a sloppy plate of unevenly cook beef goulasch with mostly tough and tender bits and regret to say dense spätzle made with no love. If we had been hiking and ate at a refuge in the mountains maybe this cooking is satisfactory. The kitchen needs a refresh asap because the place has been around a long time and it was recommended to us personally. We skipped dessert because we opted to be safe to at least give 3/5 stars and leave not completely deflated. It 's such a lovely spot but just not up to par."
