"Not a very vegetarian friendly restaurant, in France it is apparently not usual to have many meat free dishes. My vegetarian salad was rather poor and the mushroom omelette I got was burned so that a good third of it was un-eatable. But apart from that oysters were reportedly amazing and all the others meat-eaters were satisfied. They also have reasonably priced menu offer with starter, main dish and a dessert. As a big plus we also saw perfectly English speaking waiter. (Oh and another one - beautiful view on the bay)"

"On a very dry rainy day in January, one of many actually, and after visiting Dead Man's Corner, we discovered this great little bistro L’Escapade in Carentan, less than 10 minutes from the war exhibition. Simple retro decor with fabulous New Orleans Blues music... and a delicious three-course menu for 12 Euros. Could have spent the whole afternoon watching the rain coming down and drinking Rosé!"
