"I took my partner for his birthday for a night getaway. (Did not stay at spicers tho..)We arrived and sat at the bar, near the fire station, for a pre-dinner drink before our degustation dinner.Drinks were served & amuses bouche started from there. No one will complain about having things to nibble on when having a delicious glass of champagne and a cocktail.Once seated at the table the delicacies kept coming.Pumpkin consommé, crab tacos and more... We had one wish, do not stop!! Then the first course arrived and all the ones to follow blew our mind, our eyes and our palate.The wait in between each course was perfectly managed. The wine pairing was also a success.For us, working in Hospitality, my partner is a Chef and I work at the front, being food and wine lovers, this was one of the best experience we had.We will definitely go back when the menu change.Thank you to everyone working there but mostly to the chefs.We were amazed.Recommended? Ahah, YES OF COURSE!"

"Found this place via TripAdvisor reviews. We went there two mornings in a row for breakfast. We tried the sweet fruit waffles and the next day partook in the savoury kind. Mango waffles and strawberries and cream were sweet and refreshing, waffles cooked to perfection....Eggs Benedict waffles were also delicious, one of the best Eggs Benny I’ve ever had. My kids loved there waffles too. My young son tried the mini Dutch pancakes one morning and gobbled them all down. Staff were lovely and friendly, and service was quick considering they make everything fresh when ordered. I would definitely recommend a stop in here when visiting Montville."

"What a beautiful place to stay and be pampered.Our two nights at Spicer's Clovelly went way too fast.When we arrived, we were treated to the best service from Cameron on reception and also from all the brilliant staff we had contact with .Restaurant was superb. It is obvious why the chef's hats and the wineglasses have been awarded to this fabulous restaurant. The menu and wine list were first class.Our room was cosy and comfortable. We had an estate suite .It was a very special treat for us for our 40th Wedding Anniversary from our two gorgeous children.We can't wait until we can return for another few days of pure luxury.Would recommend to anyone that needs somewhere truly lovely to spend time."

"My husband and I wandered in for lunch on a lovley sunny day. The only reason I didn't rate them a 5 was because on such a warm sunny day they had the heaters on which made it stuffy. We both ordered the open roast beef sandwich for $20. It was served with rocket and a bowl of chips. Very nice, a big lunch, definitely would order that again. We ate in the outdoor area and enjoyed the the live music, Lady playing the guitar and singing."
