"Nice surprise that this new hostel. The dishes are varied and sought after. The kitchen is neat and the result is tasty. A great meal. One reproach, waiting! It's sometimes long between dishes. These are the beginnings, it must certainly improve. The overall impression is very positive though."

"We arrived at noon for lunch, we had to wait 13:30 to be finally served! For what is the choice it is also a catastrophe, 3 different sandwiches, idem for pizzas not count as a meal they are tiny frozen food served burned we can not even cut them with a knife, we are served with a salad knife... And for the only salads that seem eatable we will not know because at noon they either said more.Let's say that the person in the kitchen didn't want to do it because we saw them served throughout our waiting... at least 30 minutes waiting to warm up the dish of my 1-year-old daughter's dish, it's scandalous! 56 euros for 3 syrups, 2 sodas, and 4 pizzas from the size of a dessert plate. We're not going to put our feet back on it. In addition, there are signs with drinks announced that apparently they never had. And the cherry on the cake, this establishment does not take the NI card the checks! Really anything when you know that the first distributor is 30 km... next time we'll take our picnic and don't even put your feet on it for a coffee!"

"Great! The terrace offers a beautiful view. Very intimate. The kitchen is good (and organic as you wish). We spent a very good time with our 10-month-old baby (which will not remember unfortunately this)."

"Wandering through the cobbled lanes of Brantes, down towards the church steeple towards Mont Ventoux looming across the valley, and down some stone steps and around the corner you arrive at the entrance to La Poterne. Great photography by Pascale Lagarde, the owner and kitchen master, greets you at the threshold as you pass from soft light of the lane into at first darker room which makes the descent down towards the open plan kitchen, and patio even more inviting as warm light streams in from the windows complimenting the wooden features of the tidy and inviting restaurant/cafe. Maybe one of the best seats in Brantes a visitor may perch for some delicious vegetarian fare, and wine/beer on the patio of La Poterne sitting on the South facing hillside of Brantes, with views up and down the Toulourenc river valley with the combination of gold sunshine mixing with the lush green below, and Mont Venoux across the way. There is calm, and there is beauty of setting, and La Poterne adds to this fantastic experience (that was necessary to describe) with great food of Pascale’s creation, and great service from the friendly staff. All who visit, or have the opportunity to visit Brantes should make La Poterne part of their exploration of both the town and the valley of the Toulourenc. It is worth the trip to the end of the lane."
