"After arriving home late we decided to order in when given our food we were suspicious due to our food being cold and that the cold food was chicken and everyone knows that cold chicken or undercooked can be fatal so we left it out. Shocked we tried to get a refund but were told that they were on hold to 11 visitors. Leaving us even more hangry"

"This is a good local pub. It has a really cool quirky decor, and has loads of events like Morris dancing, theatre, bring-your-own-cheese evenings and folk music, and the location alongside the canal is gorgeous, with both indoor and indoor seating and tables. They always have a good selection of local and international craft beers in cans and bottles, as well as on tap. They have a small menu of traditional and Mexican fare, and on Friday evenings there’s a lot of free food doing the rounds. It’s basic food but okay for the price. Music tends to be classic rock and soul, and is at a low enough volume that you don’t need to shout your conversation. We always pop in when we’re visiting Berkhamsted or walking along the canal."

"All about this place is top score. both service and eating. we were treated nicely each time and the personal was really accentuated. the goujon box and hot dogs are my favorite along with their amazing koleslaw. everything is filled with taste and the portion sizes are huge that there was enough food for leftovers. always look forward to having it again."
