"I highly recommend The Granville Arms. We had an absolutely fantastic time at my wife 's surprise 40th birthday party! Tim was incredibly helpful in arranging this via phone and email, and nothing was too much trouble. Adult and children 's menus were received ahead of the day to choose from, which the chef had customised to my requests. Named place settings allowed easy allocation of food when serving, and made it easy for everyone 's bills to be calculated at the end. 'The barn ' function room was the perfect private venue for the 40 or so guests, but could easily hold more. Exposed brickwork and roof beams, along with fairy lights, made a cosy setting. There was access to a small area of grass for the children to play on, with a few outdoor toys. We were allowed to bring party banners and balloons to put up prior to guests arriving. The food was great. Exactly as everyone had ordered. Tim and has staff gave excellent service, and nothing was too much trouble. The birthday cake made by Lynn, the assistant manager, was amazing! A two-tiered cake for 50 people (but still plenty taken home). Very convenient to have that service available too! Vegetarian options: Veterian starter and main was available. Parking: Small car park to the side of the pub, but plenty of kerbside parking also available. No problem finding space to park. Kid-friendliness: Highchairs and children 's menus available. Small area of grass to play on, with a few outdoor toys. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30"

"I bought a spa break for my partner birthday and was a little worried after reading some of the reviews. I had nothing to fear. our room was beautiful, the area was absolutely beautiful, the treatments we had super relaxing, our dinner / breakfast was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. only something that could do with the improvement was the spa relieved, which could do with a little rejuvenation and the waiting hours at dinner were a little on the long side (it was a busy evening in fairness! but that didn't affect our stay. Many thanks, would definitely come back:"

"We visited this establishment on the 29th July 2018 and having read the recent reviews felt I had to redress the balance a little. We were three adults and one child and all had the carvery, the choice was gammon beef or turkey. There was a good choice of vegetables, it was nicely presented. Carveries are never as nice as home cooking but this one was not bad.. I would certainly recommend it to friends. and the price is reasonable."

"Beautiful garden center and the full English/Big breakfast in caffe is phenomenal! Actually roasted tomato instead of the usual plumomates and the whole juice on the plate was thrown, many beautiful mushrooms, my better half had the black pudding as an extra and said that was nice! the speck tasty, bor and hash brown also! they also have beautiful cakes, beautiful coffee and the special hot chocolate is fantastic the staff is beautiful, very helpful, the only sad thing was the petry closed, it was so good, wondered why?"
