"I’ve been going to Emek for about 25 years. I’ve tried loads of kebab places but nothing compares to Emek. The good is always good, their chilli sauce is really nice and they’re generally quite a friendly lot in there."

"A friend told me this place had just re-opened so we went for a quiet sit-in lunch on a Monday afternoon. I had a delicious chicken shish with salad and my friend had a large piece of salmon with salad;she said it was very tasty. My friend wanted tea to drink and the staff kindly went out to get her milk for the tea. We didn't have sides in the restaurant but were given some to take home and try out. The baba ganoush was lovely but the hummous was the best I have ever eaten. We had great service and will be going back for a good-value meal soon."

"My first visit since the beginning of lockdown. Delivery just doesn't feel the same, I missed the banter while waiting for a freshly made takeaway. Since my last trip here the shop's had a nice spruce up but the food is still as good and playing dodge the deliveroo Darth Vaders was entertaining while watching my kebab being wrangled. I've used the Kebab Hut for almost 15 years since moving to the area and treat it as a guilty pleasure, I've never had an under par meal in that time."

"Hands-down better than other takeaway options in Sydenham, which are basic and unappealing (mostly identikit fried chicken). Their shish-kebab is better than nearly any other I 've tried in the UK, including more expensive, formal places in Green Lanes and Stoke Newington. It 's also quick and the staff are friendly. Also, if your partner doesn 't want you 'stinking out the flat with a drunk kebab ', it 's actually the same price to eat-in, which is useful!"
