"The Bistro “Aquarello” is located on the edge of the small village of Edersee right at the forecourt to the dam. After their visit and an extensive view over the lake, we had the pleasure of having an ice cup and sitting on the terrace. Ambience Cleanliness The terrace is located in a car-free place overlooking the southern end of the dam. In the afternoon you have beautiful sun, a small stream migrates over the place and in the immediate vicinity is a water playground so that children can be busy while their parents still want to stay. The furniture consists mostly of plastic, but there are also a few wooden fittings. The interior is very bright due to a lot of glass, otherwise something sober. Everything was so clean and well maintained, even the toilets worked perfectly. Service The young lady of the service welcomed us quite kindly, accepted the order and checked everything for completeness with our large group. Unfortunately, the servicing then moved over a very long period. There were always only two ice cups at our table at certain intervals, so that the first had been eating for a long time before the last had been served. In the meantime, the neighboring table was always supplied with hot fish dishes, everything went crazy. I don't know if the kitchen was still in winter sleep or the serviceman's throw was heavily underused or uncoordinated, at least that wasn't acceptable. Nevertheless, the young people remained friendly and tried. Food Drink The menu has a mixture of ice cream, waffles, cakes and hot fish dishes, so everything you can enjoy here as a tourist. We decided to: Various ice cups ice cream coffee and chocolate waffles My ice cup with walnuts was quite successful with tasty walnut and vanilla ice cream. My wife was also happy with her amaretto cup. The waffles of the children also tasted this exceptionally good and were also unusually large. From this page, there were no complaints. All in all, a quite successful stopover even if the service still has to improve considerably until the summer season."

"A trip to Waldeck with a tour through the castle we wanted to finish with a nice lunch. In the castle itself the restaurant Alte Turmuhr at Hotel Schloss Waldeck showed, but a short look at the map shows that this is not our first choice. A preliminary soup, fried, if I remember correctly, costs about 13 euros. Then we went to the opposite Cafe Restaurant Altane. But even the map here in the curtain did not touch me. Well, the potato soup already, but 6,50 € was a little too much for me. If we had known what would happen, the potato soup would have been the better choice here. And so we were looking for an alternative. Near the Edersee dam we joined. The terrace hotel, whose terrace offers a beautiful view of the Edersee and the dam. And the places were also very much in demand, so we could appreciate a free table. The sole seat was cruelly uncomfortable: small garden chairs that appeared from the 70s and actually belonged to the seat cushions. So I saw myself asking for a seat cushion. In principle, there is probably not that, but the customer is king and so a seat cushion was quickly somewhere concerned. Thanks for the service! At least in the beginning, the service personnel did not have the right motivation, but this can also be tolerated by the hot weather! The beverage order was still received quite quickly. I'm a soup fan and I always want something new. Waldecker bread soup sounded promising, at least after a change. The crust from the Waldecker Landschwein in Altbiersauce, crispy roast potatoes and colorful salad had done it to me. How great was the disappointment that this court was today! I was so happy. How can it be that such a noise: court stands on the map, but cannot be ordered? I asked if there was anything else with roast potatoes, and the answer was that I could get everything with roast potatoes. Well, I then chose a Schnitzel Puszta Style with roast potatoes instead of frits. As so often only a small famine of my loved ones he said in a sequence of an oven potato with acid cream. The drinks came very fast, just like my bread soup. But I was completely disappointed. Four small roasted pieces of bread in a wild boar or vegetable broth with some vegetables and undefined small ingredients that reminded me of blood sausage. I felt displaced for decades because: it tasted like the soup we could pull at school in the sales machine, where there was also coffee and cocoa. Honestly, I always liked to draw them. If you have searched for forest soup on the net, you will not find such soup! In most cases, onion soups should not mean that there can be no different forest soups. I usually bothered that the soup was a little more than lukewarm. I'm not talking about hot. Do you think that was the hot weather again? Unfortunately, throwing money. Too bad. I was asked when I realized everything was right. But I still dare not say anything. And then it took time and it took time. In the meantime, we were served by another service and I then asked if the colleague would have delivered our order at all. No question, it's okay. Only the time passed so that the alcohol-free wheat was already empty and a three-quarter litre bottle of water had to be ordered, which was fortunately served in a cooler! And then it finally came. Let's start with the oven potato. My wife thinks it's a basic problem that too little acidic cream has always been delivered. And so it was here. The potato tasted ok, but was very strangely dark colored. My wife even meant that she never had such an inconspicuous looking potato. She seemed bad, but not. In my two small carvings it would have been possible to have more pusztasauce. The sauce itself tasted like Mixed Pickels in Gypsy sauce. All right. Because of the fiery puszta sauce! Why are so often used terms that have nothing to do with the food offered? But the Klou were the roast potatoes. Rarely, I leave roast potatoes on the plate, today half went back. Okay, it was just with the crispy frying, but then I would accept a basically crispy. These potatoes bend like rubber. On a disc I had the association of the devastating watch of Dali! And that looked very similar to Convenience Potatoes that you get for 99 cents in the Aunt Emma Shop I stood up. That was nothing! Sad, if I have to say for myself that the supplementary salad was actually the best in the main dish. And again it was asked if everything was right. And this time I said, if they already ask, I am also honest and said that these roast potatoes are really not crispy. The colleague had probably not expected this as amazed as he looked, but he reacted very confidently what the other two young men would probably not have done in service. But who knows. He later murmured a coffee and reported it to the kitchen. Then it remained. No more question about coffee at the expense of the house. Only if we wanted something else. No, thank you. I can't write any positive reviews. And I like it. At the moment I find it very difficult. It's time to get back up! "When we arrived at the hotel we wanted some coffee. When we came to the cafe /restaurant they gave us the ice cream menu card. And it was good. So we ordered two ice cream dessert and oh my goodness it was good. But also quite expensive. 7,5 Euro for one."
