"This time, I took my family to get them to discover this restaurant-bar. the reception is always good, more and more I meet servers that speak French well. I was a little disappointed by the french platter, because the recipe changed and I love it much less so. Pastry is made with coconut, which I highly recommend. a savoir, the restaurant only opens in the evening in the week. the weekend is open all day"

"Visited for lunch with my wife and son on a rainy Saturday in the middle of summer. I 'd read about The Staernepintli and the amazing Cordon Bleu it serves, so was really looking forward to the experience. It 's located in a small hamlet between Jens and Lyss/Aarberg so you 'll need a taxi or car to get there. Quick tip, don 't go there on a full stomach the food is delicious and they serve big portions of home made cordon bleu. Even the 'small ' portion is bigger than you 'd expect. But as I was very hungryt, I went for the large and wasn 't disappointed. The waitress who looked after us was lovely. Very polite and patient with our non first language German as we ordered. Whilst the menu has what appears to be a decent selection of other food, we were only there for the main event The Cordon Bleu. The meal deal you get with the Cordon Bleu includes a lovely fresh green dressed salad and bread to start. You have a choice of either pork or chicken Cordon Bleu in two sizes. We were told that the large is approx 800g. Coming as standard with ham and Raclette cheese you can add extras to personalise as you like. We all went with chicken I added extra garlic to mine and my wife went for extra chilli. You get a choice of sides too we went with Spätzle (fresh noodles fried in butter). All the food was cooked to order but it wasn 't too long until it all arrived fresh, golden, crispy and oozing with cheese from the kitchen. The Spätzle was delicious too. Happy to report that I just managed to eat all of mine it was huge and the rest of the party were also very satisfied and full when we were done. Definitely recommend if you enjoy this type of food. Will be back next time we are in this part of Switzerland."
