"Nach unserer Pleite im Boef, sind wir nochmals durch den Ort gegangen. So kamen wir am Ausgangspunkt zurück, nämlich das erste Restaurant am Stadttor. Es war heiss und wir nahmen im Garten platz. Nachdem wir geklingelt hatten, kam die Bedienung und sagte, wir könnten uns den Platz aussuchen (einige Tische waren mit "reserviert" gekennzeichnet. Wir nahmen unter den Bäumen Platz, der Schirm wurde aufgepannt und nach 5 Minuten kamen die Getränke. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Sogar die Umbestellung bei der Forelle, statt Kartoffeln - Pommes, war kein Problem. Frischer kann man die Forelle nicht haben. Als ich bezahlen ging, sprach ich mit der Wirtin, welche mir sagte, dass die Forelle lebend im Becken gefangen,geschlachtet und sofort in der Küche zubereitet wird. Zwei Paare hatten: Eine grosse Flasche Wasser, Cola, Apfelschorle, ein Glas Wein, 2 x grosser Salatteller mit Käse, ein kleiner Salatteller, eine Forelle mit Pommes und geschmolzener Kräuterbutter (meine Empfehlung) komplett ca. 72 Franken. Für schweizer Verhältnisse ist das sehr gnädig. Wir kommen in jedem Falle wieder!"

"Une façade extérieure qui aurait un grand besoin de rafraichissement et voilà la première impression, d'ailleurs pas améliorée par l'accueil au regard fuyant de la patronne. On nous installe à notre table où il y avait déjà un bol avec des quartiers de citrons qui devaient nous attendre depuis belle lurette vue leur aspect. Nous commandons des salades en entrée et la fameuse friture de carpe dont l'établissement serait spécialiste. La friture arrive alors que nous étions à peine au tiers de la salade. Bon, on peut très bien manger la salade avec la friture, mais ce choix appartient au client, il me semble. En plus, absence totale de rince-doigts. Pour un plat qui se mange avec les doigts, c'est un oubli ou un manque impardonnables. Et puis, côté dégorgement du poisson, un must pour une carpe qui sinon aurait trop le goût de la vase, l'artisan responsable avait probablement d'autres chats à fouetter. Toujours est-il que le repas était tristounet, le service pas à la hauteur mais l'addition tout de même salée. A bon entendeur."
