"Pay attention to the tourist trap Captain Scotts is. The fish-n-chips is a small overpriced, overcooked piece of fat squid that is not worth the 12.00 price-day. This place is expensive for a place where you eat a tray on a picnic table. It's better than Cavendish."

"Absolutely if you have cooking options! Friendly service, amazing fish and shells. Very expensive. We tried fresh mackerel, hake, halibut, squid, cod. Oddly. We also have smoked salmon for a delicious breakfast. Cheerful lobster was also delicious. Every day is something different based on their catch. A must if you stay in the area and love seafood. Food market and bakery within 2 minutes walk from the market so you are all set."

"The croissants and the pain aux chocolats are to die for!!! Might be the best I have had in Canada. They could even rival those in France! Looking forward to trying the Acadian meat pie!"

"The couple who own this establishment are SO proud of its transformation from blacksmith shop to restaurant. They point out the original plank floors, the old forge with cast iron pans, closed horseshoes and smithy tools.They have added a deck for outdoor dining. Service was pleasant and efficient. Obviously,they aim to please. Unfortunately, I found the quality of the dishes a bit inconsistent. One in our party was anxious to try an Acadian style meat pie.This starter was so large, it could have been an entree. Although attractively arranged,it lacked both colour and flavour. My clam chowder was a tad thin,had 2 generous clams plus some bits and way too much diced potato.The tea biscuit was good.The entrees were better. One loved his fish which was beautifully pan seared to a golden brown. It was accompanied by purple cabbage slaw, boiled PEI potatoes and an interesting mixture of stir fried veggies including rutabaga. The panini sandwich with side salad was also well received. My scallop fettuccini contained some pretty small scallops in creamy Alfredo sauce.The grilled garlic ciabatta was a great side. I realize this is a new restaurant still ironing out some kinks and I wish the lovely owners well."

"Just came back from one of the worst meals I have experienced. My daughter and her friend had pizza. It was burnt and tasted "like poop" in my daughters words. Didn't eat any of it and were never offered a reduction in the bill. The fish and chips I ordered were ok. The coleslaw was minuscule and was not good. French fries were kind of dried out and stale. The soup that my girlfriend had was ok at best. They charged $2 extra for a small plain bun. My beer was about 80% of a beer. The place isn't that nice barely holding together. The waitresses stood around and seemed to joke and laugh about things. I would recommend you don't go here and give $50 to some charity instead. I always write good reviews to help out great restaurants but am writing this to force this place out of business so someone who knows how to run a restaurant can take over. Just don't go here. Trust me."
