"Very early on the way to locarno, we thought for a coffee breakfast... but although the lights were set on all tables to go. the whole place was locked barred! we cracked the night bell. the door was torn up and appeared in a bed a woman slightly flew!, we asked if we could get a coffee? it was obviously breakfast as way off so that we ditched this idea. Oh, yeah, that would be okay, so in the escalation we went. we have ordered a double espresso with hot milk on the side. we got the coffee okay. but the milk order was ignored. the terrible the usual, in europa, but the Swiss mainly coffee cream in uht mini capsules yuk was provided. happy to get at least the coffees..we have left the idea to get any milk, why is it in the Swiss. the land of happy cows with musical bells milk is so hard to come? suffered the sweet cream replacement, but the coffee was really good! as an experienced traveler we sought the comfort of the restaurant toilet before the departure. but inside the restaurant itself the toilets were locked!!!? .so there was a great performance to get the hotel management, the key finally unlock the door....but once in the inner we uncanny the men 's toilet wasn't WORKING!...so we used the ladies high tailed it outta thee..never back!"

"We have taken a four-forest lake cruise with a friendly couple and a table reserved on the terrace of restaurant fischli. we were greeted by a very friendly service woman and then served very attentively, although we did not want to drink alcohol because of the hot weather and only ordered water to the diners. the fish crispy were extremely delicate and finely seasoned, the pommesfrites crispy-lecker and the small leaf salad also tasted well with its refreshing sauce. crispy broth and a dreamlike view of the sea - a happy, unspectacular stay that crowned our departure among friends. we'll definitely get back to this jewellery place."
The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat in nice weather.

"In the heart of Switzerland, less than three kilometres from the Rütli, we were very disappointed with Swiss hospitality. Time seems to stand still, as it says on the blackboard. Unfortunately, this also applies to the service. The two ladies seemed overwhelmed. Anyway, it took half an hour for two salad plates although we were the only two eating guests! And last but not least, there were very measly portions compared to the price paid. What a pity, such a beautiful place with a wonderful view."

"We had planned to visit Lucern for two days but at the time of leaving, we hadn't found any accommodations yet. Our stay at the Gasthaus Tourist hotel was booked literally a minute before leaving Neufchatel and we weren't disappointed at all. First off, there's...the view. This nice hotel is located in center Switzerland, meaning there are lots of prairies and so the view from our room was beautiful. Beds are quite comfy, just like the overall interior of the room and place. We didn't have the facilities in the room so we had to share a common shower and toilet but those two were as clean as possible. Quite roomy as well, like our room. Breakfast was really, really good, especially the muesli thing. Quite tasty and generous on the whole! Finally the staff. As far as language barrier goes, we don't speak any German, let alone Swiss German... so we had to use English. However it appeared that the woman--who runs the place with her husband--speaks a better French! So we ended up talking French--our native language. Brilliant! Also, great value for money: two nights, WiFi and breakfast, two people, awesome view, for CHF210! We do recommend!"
In nice weather you can even have something in the outdoor area, and there is complimentary WiFi.
