"Visited over the weekend and would not recommend to anyone! not only is the staff made up of (definitely underage) children, they are all very clearly suffering in the heat. running around, wearing black uniform, dealing with way too much at once. obviously not their fault it is down to bad management, who obviously have no respect for the people running the front of the business! food is also pretty average. i feel bad for the kids, sort this out as it’s not okay!"

"I am from the nearby city of st. albans, but traveled to the Amble-Inn in harpenden on recommendation of my sister. I took my friend (now fiance) for our second jubilee. I think I'm a wine-consist and was impressed by the choices of the weepings they had. the atmosphere in the pub was also beautiful, it was a jewel of a traditional English pub, as it used to be with a log fire and vintage decor. I ordered the steak (rare) and my friend ordered the fish and chips. both were delivered in time and cooked for perfection. the steak was beautiful (I now use the same metzger as they do after resting over it), as the fish and chips (with muddy brooms also I was very happy with my meal and service and recommended them to several friends. and I will come back soon!"
