"This restaurant offers a somewhat unexciting, older rustic interiror, but the food is good, with quite a choice. I wouldn't call it extraordinary, but you won't be disappointed if you just want a good meal. During the summer months there's outdoor seating in the garden adjacent to the restaurant where you can sit under the leafy trees. The upstairs can accommodate smaller as well as quite large groups the Rossli has some hotel rooms after all."

"We came to this restaurant over 20 years ago, though when looking to review I noticed that its not listed on Tripadvisor. This will give you an idea of its location. Unless you know its here, you wouldn't find it. Why? because its in The...Canton of Basel, Baselland actually, between Zwingen and Laufen and is behind a small village called Dittingen. Dittengen is a lovely little village and the restaurant is a short drive above the village on the top of a road up a mountain'. OK, its not a mountain as such, but its very high and therefore has wonderful unspoilt views. The restaurant hasn't changed since we last visited, its traditional, simple, clean and the food is delicious. I love it here. I had a dish from the day's special menu and its was wonderful. Liver and Rosti with a salad from the garden of the restaurant. I know that liver is not to everyones taste but the menu is extensive and there were a lot of other options including port chops, steak, bratwurst etc. This is great wholesome, homemade and delicious food.The service was perfect, welcoming, warm and helpful. We are going to go again later this week we hope. The restaurant is off the beaten track but well worth seeking out as its a special place and there aren't many like this left any more."

"We've eaten here many times over the last couple years. We particularly recommend the chateaubriand. Great food in rustic setting. Friendly staff but one waiter can rush you a bit from time to time (my only negative and this should be addressed). Exceptional space outside to eat in the warmer months. Largely a Swiss clientele.
