"Great. In my gluten free element!!. I 've read a number of the reviews...all quite spaced out and TBH I suspect people who are 'disgusted ' cannot grasp the fact that sometimes pubs/restaurants have bad days or even so many staff away they have fill-ins. Having worked in hospitality I know this to be the case.<br/ <br/ We went to the Kewdale this evening ....been meaning to go for a long time given the gluten free range and what we have heard from locals. I didn 't expect more than pub grub....but at least I could eat. WELL !! We had the best meal we 've had in ages. The scallops entree was to die for flavour wise!!! We had the gluten free turkish bread and dukkah....LOVED it. In fact dipping the bread in the scallop juice was also lovely : <br/ I had fish and chips...yay, gluten free battered fish! Perfect!!<br/ The pork belly my husband had...PERFECT. Right down to the crispy crackling even!!<br/ Friendly accommodating staff. <br/ We will be back!!!!!"

"A decent dinner and serving size for the price. Restaurant feels a bit dated on the inside but the service was very friendly and didn't have to wait long for the food. Favourite was the beef black bean tonight. Got a few gristle bits in the sweet and sour pork though."

"The ordered gluten-free cook would not replace the chips with another carbon that was gluten-free. I proposed a bratkartoffel. I am a coeliac have no choice. I offered extra salat and then did not deliver the food after I said this would have to do. I have spoiled my husband's birthday contract from his sister. a great experience! dietary restrictions: would not offer replacement on a chip that had gluten and then the meal was not sworn. ruined my mannes' birthday contract"

"Enjoyed a meal with 5 people at the Grove on Sunday at lunch Staff were happy and very helpful Drinks are well priced, venue is clean tidy. Meal arrival time could be improved, but arrived hot, using fresh ingredients. Peri Peri chicken was a table favourite. Pizza is approx 12' very cheesy but lacked bacon on this occasion. Squid was cooked nice tender reasonible serve We enjoyed our visit. Def worth coming back."

"We ate lunch here a few months ago in the Pub and found the food to be very tasty and serves generous. Tonight we had a family dinner, and where looking forward to it. The quality of the food and the serving size differed dramatically....Firstly we had looked at a menu online this had pastas, salads and a wide selection of entrees, mains and desserts, but found the menu now was a very limited one with only a few choices of entrees or mains, and no desserts listed. As we had booked it base on the menu we saw online( one family member has food sensitivities) it was very disappointing to find that now there was virtually nothing that the family member could have...if we had known what the menu was ...we would of booked elsewhere so as to ensure we found all eat the food. The family member had to settle for a meal that ‘ mostly ‘ was ok. We ordered a garlic bread, and in the world does garlic bread have balsamic vinegar on it and as I couldn’t have garlic bread I asked if I could get plain bread. It took a few minutes of waiting to find the cook to ask him, and to be told yes they could... the plain bread took ages to come out...and that was only after my husband reminded them. Size wise the meals at dinner where no where as generous as the lunch menu...and differed in size even compared within the table... 2 people got the Vegetarian Parmigiana ,which came with ‘ salad and chips’... the salad was 6 mixed leaves, a cherry tomato cut in half and a few snow pea sprouts. And 1 slice eggplant. But the Sunday special’ Fish,chips and salad that another person got the salad was a more generous serve. Hubby’s steak( tbone) this was meant to be ‘ medium ‘ was medium in parts but mostly rare...we talking blood raw and the other( Porterhouse)was more ‘ shoe Leather tough’ than well done. No desserts on menu other than a ‘chalkboard special’ of chocolate brownie with ice cream. Owing them the time it took to get the food was not bad and the service was ok and the mediocre food we decided to go get dessert elsewhere. My overall suggestion is the owners need to improve menu and read the reviews and act on them and update Facebook and other internet sites."
