"Totally over-priced for less than mediocre food! Avoid at all cost! We had some stale bread, the salmon came with over-cooked veggies, the steamed mussels were cold and dry, with two small bottles of sparkling water, the bill was €43. On top of it, my husband had to run into town to find a banking machine because the card reader didn’t work and we had to pay cash. Tourist trap par excellence! Horrible experience."

"Place have problem with ordering /serving food properly,they made mistakes so we complained and they respond with complain for one person that smoked cbd.. food only fries was worth. not good for big group (10 people) not kids friendly, not cbd friendly. not friendly at all.the drinks was sugar not drink."

"Returning after an absence of 18 months, I was not the least bit disappointed. I rate about one in ten of the restaurants I review on this site as a five. O Tipico deserves the rating. The establishment represents small city Portuguese traditional cooking, ambiance, and hospitality at its best. The daily menu offer more than the usual number of choices. So far, everything I've tasted has been excellent. The Sopa Lavrador with which I began today's lunch was perhaps the best vegetable based soup I can remember eating. The preparation of the polvo lagareiro was exactly perfect. The wine list remains vast for a small city restaurant. As I dined on my own this trip, I wanted only a half-size bottle of white. Unlike most restaurants, there still was a more than adequate selection of wines from quite a few regions to choose from. You will pay a bit more here than in many other places, but it's worth it. I took the narrow gauge train from Aveiro to Águeda specifically to eat here. The meal was well worth the half hour each way on the train and the ten-minute walk from the station."
