"This place promises much if you read all its boards and menu.But when you try and order they don't seem to have anything as if there is no chef on duty.All they offered was juices as they had a functional juicer and fresh fruit.The location is at the hafen and the sea is beautiful but this place seems to have lost its moorings"

The virus would not be a topic anymore.... The winter holiday on Sylt is on foot on a narrow comb. On the one hand you can enjoy a pleasantly empty and relaxed island, on the other hand the weather on the North Sea can also make a heavy line through the bill. We had chosen well, the days over the carnival 2022 were from Friday 25th. February, a real pleasure. Cold but light blue sky with beautiful walks along the sea. As always, we lied in Rantum and were on the road by car that we did not use on the island. There are many too many cars here, so we don't have to be suffocated before a good bus network. In addition, one avoids the only bad mood that goes back to the discussion. On the second day the plan was to eat elbows again in list after a rounding of the lister. Where are you going in List if you want to eat there? Of course you can throw yourself into the thunder of the Gosh-Etablissements at the port, there are really good fish there, but we are too full there. Then there are some good restaurants. I could have warned, but I always try everything. That was too sharp for me, the oysters in the glass couldn't put any accents. Try, but don't come back to the order list. To this round, as in the following, the service used again and again a new bread basket, so you don't have to be afraid that you won't get tired. About three for my wife came after our third order. Now it should be congratulated for them. She had ordered Auster Kilpatrick with Speck Worcestershire Sauce, oysters with truffle butter and Parmesan as well as Wild Sylter Royal XXL on champagne word with truffle butter and cheese. That was, of course, the fat taste kitchen that accompanied the oysters, but as final equipment this was a pleasure for my wife. Even I had ordered a little more intense aromas than the last walk. Also for me the oysters Kilipatrick with Speck Worcestershire sauce, then a oyster with pernod butter and a oyster in the Tempura pig in oyster sauce and Ossietra Caviar. Warm was that and of course something completely different from the previous courses. I actually have too many flavors that cover the oysters. But on a winter day you want to eat something warm and emotional. With this third passage we were very satisfied with the kitchen performance. We must also praise the service. For my wife and me, the restaurant of the oysters Compagnie Dittmeyer is one of the most authentic places on the island to delightfully eat. I recommend a visit to every Sylt visitor."

"In summer vacation once again a day trip to Sylt made with the ferry and as always stuck in List and this time returned to the pirate nest after we were quite disappointed last time (2014). In principle, not too much has changed, from outside still rustically equipped with some seating and inside just a pirate nest. Unfortunately, the first impression this day was not particularly intoxicating by the staff. When we asked an outside service whether there is a place for us, because quite a lot was going on, we got a pretty bad answer – “Let them look themselves already.” Well, thank you for the conversation – we thought she told us that we should follow her, but somehow we all stood floating over the heads with question marks at the same place. Personally, I didn't want to go in there anymore, but the others probably did, so I was killed afterwards. In contrast to the outside, there was almost nothing going on, so we got the place with round table in the rear area, so we had all (6 people) enough space – we got the table from another service! A look at the map did not show much new, but I think prices have attracted. Despite all this, it was ordered diligently: fish grill plate with salmon, red bark and sea salmon fillet served on Sauce Choron portion shrimps with garlic sauce Chickennuggets with Pommes children's menu Giant Burger In the meantime, our children were given a painting and pencils, which they used extensively! Let's start with the children's menu: The Chicken Nuggets were tastefully all right, as almost everywhere ready-made dishes but they could be eaten. The pommes also tasted good. The small salad leaflet was spoiled by our children, but the idea itself is good. Portion of shrimp with garlic sauce: Uff, that deserves the term garlic! S looked very tasty and the little probator was very good, so you can certainly recommend even if something high price. Fish grill plate: Well, what should I say to this one was ordered 3 times in a modified form – once with roast potatoes, once pellet, once potato salad. Bread potatoes were TOP! Kross and not greasy, which is very good – including bacon cubes! Now to fish selection – in the 3's combination of fish, one thing is clear which fish is probably the most expensive, so one also knows that one gets the least of the salmon. Well, yes, but two small 1cm x 1cm small pieces are then something leaner, I am honest I thought they would have forgotten the salmon first, even on the other two plates one had to look for it, unfortunately! Otherwise it was tastefully good again, better than the last visit. Giant Burger: He didn't just look terrible, he was also – was allowed to taste a piece and was finally happy that I had chosen the fish plate. The meat was cartilaged and tasteless, was only spicy and quite dry. So there is no recommendation here! Overall, one can say that the visit to the pirate nest was again better than in 2014, but completely satisfied is what else, that was more the case in 2013 (see also evaluation). The service we had was friendly, but very stressful, fortunately we didn't get those from the entrance. Sanitary facilities were fine."
