"Front desk very friendly. No dinner service our night, breakfast was oatmeal, cereal and juice. Bagels and toast came as we left. Room was damp, beds were quite hard. We heard the upper level is better. Also could hear the upper level. sounded like furniture being moved. Room did not look like posted pics and we did have a laugh about it . It will do fine passing through. The shower takes a bit to warm up, patience, it gets hot."

"Everything was amazing and fresh!We ordered breakfast and seafood Chowder. The most memorable for me was the homemade toast. Also ordered ice mocha and even the drink was amazing. I am coming back here tomorrow!"

"We wanted a 14 pizza so we could have something to eat with some left over for after the music show at Cape Smokie. Very good pizza tasty! Lots of toppings."

"Our family was part of a group of 19, children and adults and I thought the servers were very attentive. My fish tacos were pretty good, but they could have come back to the lime juice. My daughter had her chicken bacon Mac and cheese and really liked it. My wife loved the shells, but thought the pannenschleier was a bit dirty. What really impressed me is that they served the children first. This is the way to earn points with parents."

"Based on the reviews here I literally declined to go there. One night we were too tired to drive and we gave it a shot. 15 CAD for a burger are ok. It was a pleasant surprise. The burger was good. Not very good but you get reasonably priced food and will not leave hungry.Two things were a real downside: the atmosphere that feels like a hall with tables inside and the live music. It is nice when you want to listen to music but it's hard to have a conversation. If you keep this in mind you might have a nice evening. Just give the place a chance. It seems as if they have learned from the reviews here."

"Eat there a few times every year. Worth the 2 hour drive. Fish chowder is amazing: can't wait till next year!!"

"Some folks forget where they are. We are in the north in Cape Breton where Resturants close at 8:45. We like bars and went to a number of Resturants who all have bars and finally settled in this one. We did not eat here but had a drink before dinner then moved to another for dinner that was rated much higher. However, all that being said. We returned for the folk singer and enjoyed ourselves with a number of locals and guests. If you get in too late, you can get pub food here And if you want to settle in then stop and have a pint and don't expect Halifax pubs this far north."
