"We found this hidden gem by accident as we left Hautefort towards the Correze, just 5 minutes on the D62. It looked all but closed and we worked out it was reservation only. The phone message was in French which was another obstacle, but fortunately we found the proprietor in the kitchen and reserved for that evening. We discussed our requirements and budget and she did the rest. The meal that we enjoyed under the ancient vine was out of this world. A home made mushroom soup, starter was a tartelet with salad, main course tournedos of beeg, one non meat eater having fish and a delicious clafoutis with crème Anglais for dessert or cheese. Service was impeccable, the host. Chantal, a treasure trove of stories and she was happy to provide homemade chips for our youngest child who shared my meal. The decoration of each plate with fresh , edible flowers was a special touch and it made every course a photo opportunity! Highly recommended and do reserve as it is well worth it!"
