"Sat on the last Friday for dinner; the fish and chips were excellent! fresh fish with crispy teig and also with muddy heaps! huge portions. this is a traditional English meal that is excellently cooked by a French cook (I think, and nicely served by friendly staff. Great...for money, nice beer or wine to wash everything. overall this was a good meal, good value for money, and we will go back to try out the rest of the menu that looked quite comprehensive for what really is just a friendly local restaurant. can't go wrong."

"Nous sommes allés au relais du lac lundi 16 novembre vers 13 h.On nous dit de s'installer sur la table de 6, nous arrivons et plus de place car trois personnes s'y étaient installées.Ils nous ont laissé la place pour s'installer ailleurs .Nous attendons un petit moment avant que la serveuse arrive pour nous demander ce qu'on veut comme entrée, alors que nous avons pas eu la carte en main, on demande des galettes et crêpes (sachant que c'est ecrit devant formule créperie et le mot crêperie noté sur leur enseigne) et elle nous dit qu'il n'y a pas de crêpes. Nous prenons la galette super complète et l'un de nous a tenté la galette avec de l'andouille et lard.On a attendu 45 min avant d'avoir notre assiette alors que mes deux filles avaient eu leur menu bien avant .En voyant la galette, on a été surpris, plate, champignon en boite rempli d'eau sur le dessus, et a l’intérieur 3 ou 4 vulgaire morceaux de jambon, il n'y avait rien dedans, et bien sur c'était très fade et pas bon du tout (nous étions trois a prendre cette galette, et nous avons pensé la même chose), l'autre galette était guère mieux.La serveuse revient vers nous pour savoir si il nous faut une deuxième galette ,on a répondu en coeur NON.Vu la galette nous n'avons même pas pris de café et dessert.Arrivé au bar pour payer, surprise 52€ pour 4galettes et deux menus enfants, sachant que c'était vraiment pas bon.On paye on part, et en regardant le ticket,on voit que les prix affichés sur la carte n'étaient pas identiques a ce qu'on a payé.Alors pour ne pas avoir une mauvaise surprise, n'y aller même pasBonne journée"

"New Year's Eve in Brittany we were looking for somewhere to celebrate my husband's birthday and although we spent many summer afternoons with a drink here overlooking the lake, we have no meal here yet! The menu was served with many good choices, my favorite was the sea bass. All enjoyed the deserts. I highly recommend this restaurant and return to my next visit to Brittany."

"We recently ate at the Restaurant L 'Embarcadere after a hearty walk through the drained Lac de Guerledan. When the lake is there (previous and next years it makes a fantastic vantage point to watch the water sports whilst eating. We have been returning to the restaurant for many years. The food is always well cooked and ranges from simple sausage and chips pizza 's (which are REALLY good up to duck with lovely sauces. This year, even with a full restaurant the food met the usual standards and the service was surprisingly quick considering the number of people eating. This time we just had the fish and chips , the fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was amazingly light and crispy. The portion size looked small on the plate but it certainly filled us up for the rest of the day, any more and it would have been a waste. There is a good selection of drinks, I had a local breton beer so it was a good job we were walking rather than driving! The staff were always friendly and even with my pigeon french I got by (even through most of the staff speak English! . We will be returning next year."
