"We visited the bar of the Royal hotel to watch my husband's team play in the semi-final of the Betfred Cup. Though it was busy, we managed to get seats at the bar. The drink was very reasonably priced- a pint and a g&t for...£6.60 (I think,I wasn't paying The only issue was with the TVs. The main TV was blocked by others at the bar and 2 guys playing snooker/pool in front of it. 2 other TVs, one behind the bar and one opposite that which kept blanking out. We did manage to see the match though, with a resounding win for hubby's team. The surprise, and a lovely touch, was delicious, fresh sandwiches produced at half-time. I have never experienced that before but will remember it for next time we are in Anstruther for the weekend when hubby's team is playing!"

"After golfing planned to have a meal here but we had to give up after waiting for service for more than an hour. Food looked ok but we could not wait. Looks poorly organised . Wasted our day out ended up at the lock fish chip shop."

"I had a delicious lunch with salt and pepper chocolate as starter, bouillebaise as main and mandel and orange cake with a perfect cup americano. I would certainly recommend this bistro. the ambiente is pleasant, there are good works of art on the walls (for sale) and the menu is varied and quite expensive."

"Great presentation of food, staff was attentive and friendly, great food required to any allergies that people have, chef was great, fantastic mussels to start then the main course was delicious with seasonal produce locally sourced followed by the best homemade sticky toffee pudding. It was excellent couldn't fault the place. Will definitely be back in the future. Loved every minute of being there. Thanks team Rockies. SUSIE MUIR"

"Wow the Chai Tea and Chai Latte are excellent. Along with a little nibble of the wonderful chocolate made on the premises. We decided not to sit in as anxious to get on to the coastal path to walk, though would go back to eat as the food menu seemed good. We took our take away drinks and little chocolate rabbits to eat and drink en route to Anstruther. Absolutely lovely with the wonderful chocolate and the tastiest Chai drinks with all the spices coming through was decadent, along with the beautiful views along the Fife coast."
