"I've been 3 times now and every time it's been amazing. So much better than our favourite takeaway, we're even considering ditching the takeaway and coming here once a week instead. Staff are really friendly, haven't had a problem getting a table yet and the food although amazing is pretty reasonably priced."

"An Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. Last night, Sunday, we visited The Olive Garden with my son and his wife. It was bustling and busy with a fantastic atmosphere, when we arrived with a reservation for 6.30pm, but the service remained efficient and friendly. I opted for shared garlic pizza breads, one plain one cheese, while we chatted prior to the meal. I then chose Polpette Casalinga, homemade meatballs, chillies, red onions, tomatoe sauce. Delicious and served piping hot, this dish is from the special £6.95 for two courses menu that is available 12pm-9pm Sundays and 5pm-10pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. I then opted for Bistecca Rump steak with Diavola sauce, also from the same menu. I asked for it to be cooked medium to well done, and this is exactly what I got, not always the case in some restaurants. The dish was served with a side serving of fresh vegetables which included baby potatoes in their skins, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots, not overcooked, but steamed to perfection. The diavola sauce was pleasantly spicy hot. I then opted for a gateau from the main sweets menu. This consisted of a cream gateau topped with chocolate profiterols and drizzled with chocolate sauce. The dish was presented fully decorated with cocoa powder and sauce piped into letters and shapes on the side of the plate. The whole experience was excellent, and far better than a standard Italian restaurant offering usually found in this area. The total cost, including a round of drinks for the four of us was £62. What a bargain!"

"Brilliant service and great friendly staff who make sure all customers leave very happy. Clean inside. Nice waiting area with sofas. Food is delicious. If you order meals, you get free onion bhajis and sometimes poppadoms, we ended up with 14+ onion bhajis. Delicious and great for the whole family. We ordered a variety of curries. All hot, all very tasty and would definitely recommend. My favourite was the Bhuna and garlic rice. Will definitely be ordering from here again. This could be my new favourite Indian takeaway in Wigan. Great prices too."

"Sunday roast was as good as before 2 wks. I have been at the owls for over 25 years and must be honest, post covid reopening I was not too impressed in comparison to earlier worth and quality. Not sure whether there is now a new cook, but eating, presentation and service of the young waiters on our last 2 visit Definitiw deserves a 5-star review. we had 3 courses for almost 20 pfunds per head, which I think is excellent now. we'll be back soon. Go on."
