"Traditional fish and chips, but also Chinese food; ideal for us as a family as we both wanted! good, but faster and efficient service. we were asked if we wanted big or small fish and chose small fish as the big ones were still cooked and we were in a hurry. good work that we did, because the small fish were anyway huge and in portions were quite generous in the. spring 5 of us for under 20 pfund. can recommend."

"Warm, clean and welcoming pub/restaurant. friendly, polite and helpful staff. Eat cooked to perfection steak and steak cake, with beautiful thirre boiled chunky chips that were fluffy and crispy. desserts, chocolate brewery and apple crumbs were really delicious. the menu was a bit expensive, but it is worth a special occasion. would definitely visit again."

"I'm a solo traveller with my dog and decided a long walk in the rain was a good idea,it wasn't! I spotted this pub and decided it was time to dry off. From the minute I stepped in I felt welcomed. They seated us by a gorgeous roaring fire to dry off,treat my dog to several trests and lots of fuss. It was so homely there we ended up staying for a meal and several more drinks. On asking if they could help me organise a taxi the young landlady offered me a lift ! There was nothing these brilliant people wouldn't do. I'm so glad I found this gem.of a place. Brilliant atmosphere huge gorgeous meals and kind helpful staff x x"

"Food was alway great but have not been for over a year until tonight. Disgusting, rice was off. Starter which was chicken Satey was boiled to disguise the fact it was off. Sauce was frozen and microwaved which had split and tasted of nothing. Didn't eat any of it. Check out the food standard ratings they scored 1 out of 5 major improvements necessary."

"This is one of my favorite places! eating is amazing and the personal is friendly, helpful and attentive. they even gave attention to our dog and made sure he had water and cuddly! we stayed here also so at lunch, dinner and dessert; all delicious! but they gave us a pot of olive instead of cracking with the metzger board, so we didn't eat the olives, but we were full anyway, as the board is more than enough for two! the lookout here are amazing a d the walks around the opposite are great with lassan and rabbits over their way! the stay was comfortable and the rooms are modern and stylish, although a little small, but it is cozy! the breakfast was delicious. I had fresh pastries, jams and toast and a full English! and I was so glad that they had soy milk as not many places do. will definitely return and I recommend it to everyone for a nice break."
