"The atmosphere and service are unparalleled this is a fairly bold yet accurate way of putting it. The food is always excellent, often complex but there are always simple dishes to fall back on if you are not in the mood for nouveau cuisine. Regulars on the menu such as pigeon you can seldom go wrong with. However, not to knock the restaurant at all, but the real reason anyone should visit this restaurant is to eventually visit the hotel itself. The staff poolside, in the restaurant and on the concierge are impeccably dressed and very personable. I have been going to this hotel and restaurant for over 25 years and can honestly say that the standards have never slipped."

"Definitley the highlight of our holiday. Dont leave carcassonne without doing it. My wife had been to lots of vineyards in america and Australia but this was my first time. She said this was the best by far and i cant imagine how you could better this. There is no point in repeating everyone else...Basically all the amazing stuff that the other reviews say is 100% right....If anyone writes a bad review they are lying!!!Its a very personal and unique day. You dont get the feeling that the same stuff is being regurgitated for every group as Joe and Liz completely respond to the company. I would definitely recommend staying for dinner....well worth it in monetary terms and also for the entertainment. We arrived at 4pm and left well after 10pm full to the gills with wine and food. Its like a wedding where you know no-one at the start and then by the end you feel as if everyone is your best friend (possibly related to many glasses of wine)......."

"We have tried a lot of pizza over the years but the Octavia serves some of the best pizzas you could hope for. Made freshly to order, the bases are fantastic and the toppings generous. Having forgotten French supermarkets close at mid day on a Sunday we were in a fix so finding the Octavia open was a plus and we were really impressed. The owner is a friendly chap who coped very well with our rather poor French! This is a friendly resteraunt that also offers take out. We enjoyed it so much we went twice."
