"Dinner was very tasty Husband had turkey but did mention that it could have done with being warmer . I had the belly pork which was amazing. Hubby was very disappointed about not being able to have the pudding he had ordered. Cheryl was a lovely hostess"

"We booked a table for lunch to celebrate 1 of my friends birthday. I was really looking forward to this occasion. Place looks very nice, cosy, clean with plenty of space for toddlers to run away) very young smily staff (slim boy and girl, sorry didnt catch their names) were very friendly, helpfull and polite which helps to feel even more welcome and good. Food was delicious and so tasty!!!! Most of us had duck brest which taste like heaven in your mouth nice, tender and juicy…well served with wild mushrooms, roasted parsnip and dauphinoise potatoes following by nice goosbery pie with custard desert or dark chocolate decline…All food was well served, presented and tasty!! Sous chef Martin came personally checked if everything is ok excellent service!!! We spent couple of hours there having such a lovely time can only recommend this place and definitely will be coming back in summer to try garden on nice sunny days as well"

"Visited for a Sunday Roast with my partner. well the service to start was poor, poured red wine into a white wine glass, lemonade was flat, so choose to have a bottle, still charged considering the glass prior was flat!! a bottle, the staff...owner... said well next week the tax goes down so will be cheaper!!! Great customer service.. Not!!!! The Roast was ok. But not what you would expect for near on presentation very poor... cheese sauce just poured all over the vegetables which were very soft, the parsnips were white like boiled... The pub it self was covered in areas with cob webs, and not nice smells coming from staff, and not at all friendly... And prior to starting our meal complaints from other visitors had already been given to staff, and even a visitor had advised us prior to eating. Well to say the least I wont be visiting this place again, and advise others to be cautious if you wish to eat at this pub... with no happy friendly customer service and near on microwaved heated food... with no presentation. Such a shame.. when this happens but dont want other people having a disappointing visit... and not like it's cheap!!!"

"Most importantly for our four legged love of our life they are very, very dog friendly, so much so they have a dog station there supplying biscuits, water, and a basket, what more can I say. Had a lovely English menu lunch I chose the ham and hock pie, my wife chose the smothered chicken both perfectly cooked and served by the most friendly staff. Can definitely say we will return."
