"On our week’s holiday in the great ski area of Val di Fassa we visited this pizzeria twice. Really good relaxed place, just what’s needed after a day on the slops, with excellent service with some of the best pizzas this side of Naples. The beer was from the Ayinger Bavarian brewery, either normal lager style or dark (dunkles). Both splendid."

"We spent a week in Vigo di Fassa and we had lunch all the day at Baita Checco. The service is quite good even if there was too much people, during the Xmas holiday and sometimes the waiting time is too much. In particular when the weather is good and the table outside are full, the impression is that the number of guest exceeds the capacity of the kitchen. The restaurant has a wide range of food. Beers are good (in particular the Val di Fiemme one) and also the Merenda of Cacciatore is fantastic!!!!"

"This is a fine dining restaurant and everything is very good, but I have marked it down as some things were slightly short of excellent. Perhaps a bit too much attention is given to presentation rather than flavour. One dish (tagliatelle with ham) was really bland. The menu is rather confusing as it is divided into separate parts (eg a four course menu and a six course tasting menu) but you can choose from anywhere and several things can be starters or main courses. It is definitely different from the other restaurants that we visited in the town and good for a celebration but I think on balance I prefer the ones that are more real ."

"Having read the excellent reviews we were really looking forward to a meal at this restaurant, however our treament on arrival was extremely shoddy and unhelpful so after some discussion when they showed no inclination to put things right we left. Sure the food is great but their attitude to customer service needs some major attention."
