"I can't gush enough at how grateful we are for our experience at Chez Lu Lu today, on Mother's Day 2021. We were at a different establishment earlier and before even ordering we were made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable that we left. As soon as we walked up to Chez Lu Lu, our already fragile nerves somewhat frayed due to Mother's Day being difficult for us, we were made to feel so welcome and appreciated that it completely felt like a blessing and we are already so grateful to be here. So far, our drinks and eats have been so welcoming and delicious. We are beside ourselves to be here. Thank you Chez Lu Lu. Thank you Phyllis and Rebecca"

"I think some of you reviewers need to manage your expectations better. Most delivery food will have some type of complications. Like if you want EXACTLY what you want then cook at home. They are literally making you dinner and delivering it to your house. No work involved. I’ve had amazing experiences here and also a few mistakes. It happens. If you are nice to them and realize everyone here is human, things will be better. I’ve worked in food/service industry for 20 years and I know what I’m getting when I order pizza, DoorDash, Uber eats etc. Chill and be nice to the people taking care of you. Also our delivery driver, female with medium brown hair was amazing and so nice tonight. I didn’t get her name, but when I asked about sauces, she replied that they were all in the boxes. They were all there and our pizza and breadsticks were delicious. Ty!"

"The bartender at the Gallery Bar may be the best bartender in the entire part of the state of Alabama. He's actually a bona fide mixologist and it's immediately obvious. His cocktails and masterpieces. I live in New York and eat out almost daily but the Manhattans made at the Gallery Bar (in the front of the restaurant) were among the best I've had any in America. This bartender is the Birmingham area's best kept secret. I'm already looking forward to returning to BHM for the sole purpose of going back to the Gallery Bar. Don't just get a beer there, please!"

"I got the meat Stromboli, chicken pesto Alfredo, and two salads. The salad was a salad. Nothing special. Factory salad dressing. The pesto Alfredo was highly process. As if every ingredient came out of a can or bag. Very salty and no pesto. It was like eating processed chicken in lard. The Stromboli was undercooked. The cheese was not melted. "Quick lunch and loved it. In Homewood between Dr appointments and tried O’Carrs and loved it. Mary served us and we were in a hurry and she was efficient. Chicken salad with mixed greens hit the spot and wife throughly enjoyed gazpacho and pasta salad. Mild shakes looked super but we didn’t have time. Will go back for sure."
