"So I?ve been eating here for about 20 years and a lot has changed since. Not only did the remodel the restaurant. But everything else changed as well. The restaurant use to give off a homey vibe. Made you feel like you was at a family gathering but now it feels a little cold. The food is still good but you can tell it wasn?t made with love like it use to be. They no longer serve virgin daiquiris which has been my go to drink since I was a little girl. And I do not drink. Nonetheless, go eat here. It?s good. I just miss the old Monterrey."

"A small restaurant this food is pretty good. Salsa is great and the service is very good. Really surprised a lot more people are not eating here. The salad was wonderful with cilantro and onions I requested. I think the South Side really has a good Jewel on their hands. Nothing fancy but just enough. The margaritas are great. Trust my reviews."

"This restaurant was a lady resort because they stay open a little later... horrible decision.... food was fairly priced and drinks were good... Service was HORRIBLE.... still never got our food... server argued me down about food she never brought out. Then they spent 15 minutes discussing returning me my money for food they never made me.... her excuse was she doesn 't know what they make... she just brings out what they cook... spent almost $100 here for horrible service...I was highly disappointed and will never be back! If you are unsure... don 't go here!"

"First I was not satisfied with my order because I had not received the xtra meat and the rice I had ordered in all three dishes. I placed my order on the phone app. general manager dominick holland has corrected my order however. I was very happy with his great customer service. I visited this place several times and never had a problem. However, this was my first time that I placed an order with the phone app."
