"My husband ordered Huevos Rancheros, and I ordered the turkey sandwich. The size of his was less than half of what he has experienced in other places. The Huevos Rancheros contained very little pork, but we were charged an extra $5 to have the pork added. My sandwich had an odd taste as well. The people next to us must have overheard us and stated they felt the place was not good either. Their little girl had a grilled cheese sandwich, and the cheese was not melted. Although I relied on the good reviews I read before we went, I definitely would not go back."

"I went to Proper Fish for two reasons, first I love fish and chips, and second the reviews lately have been mixed and I wanted to get the straight scoop first hand. The one thing we don’t know is do they have good days and bad days, but I can tell you I caught them on an amazing day. The fish and chips are as good as any I have ever had, although a bit expensive at $19 and when you pay with a credit card they use square that always asks for a tip. Glad I left a tip as the food was well worth it. First off the chips are thick, fresh, and hand cut, maybe a rare instance I thought fries were better than Dick’s…Second the fish is a very long cut piece and there is only one, which at first seems like a small portion, but in the end it was a lot of fish. The batter is on the thick side, but I loved it and the fish was substantial and flaky white. Also, their tarter sauce is amazing. I will definitely go back, maybe next time try the lobster roll. Bottom line you got try PF, well worth it."

"So disappointed that Jake's has chosen to transition permanently to plastic wrapped cold cut and tuna sandwiches. I used to dream about their amazing fish sandwiches and my partner adored their hamburgers, and we would literally budget extra time whenever passing through Bainbridge to make sure we could stop and grab a few. They were never a dine in place being located in a gas station , so the order call in and takeout would have been perfect during COVID, and goodness knows BI needs more good and convenient takeout and deli food! Such a shame. Don't bother going out of your way based on the old reviews and description of services. If you are looking for a wide variety of cold wrapped food and even a hot bar you will have much better luck at Town Country or Safeway."

"Eating is great, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. the whole place had a welcoming atmosphere. I have myself a john Wayne combo and it took some time for them to make it (with there several people before me in line), but it was certainly worth waiting. my only criticism is that the pommes do not have enough salt, but this is a personal opinion and will vary from person to person."
