"We have just returned from Sicily where we spent our last three days around Piedimonte Etneo in Casa Ele located in a lovely little village Presa. We found this local and family run restaurant Ai Piedi by pure chance as we were trying to find our way to Casa Ele. The owner of this restaurant-Vera, who spoke English, was very helpful and took us to our accommodation. For the next three days we always ate in this restaurant and we never regretted it! Although there are only pizzas on the menu which by the way are huge and delicious, you can ask the host for anything and in a couple of minutes she can conjure traditional Sicilian dishes. On the last day she promised us a special farewell dinner and we were not disappointed. It was a feast of three courses and after that we could barely move! If you are ever in this area, you must go this restaurant! You will not be disappointed. Ask for Vera, her lovely husband Vincenzo and her daughter Flavia."

"We have travelled extensively and have never encountered service of this kind! When they knew we only spoke English and not Italian, they basically turned and ran, we were not only forgotten, we were ignored completely. The food could have been good but the poor service overshadowed our food. Clearly they only want to serve the locals and not the tourists. We will not be back!"
