This is by far the most incredible meal I have had in the Barossa Valley and could almost say in my life time( I know that is a big call but once you come here you know it is justified) Every inch of the venue is well thought from the restored old building to the meal being matched to the wine and sommelier to explain. Our whole family (of fussy foodies wine lovers from Melbourne) were blown away. Do yourself a favour and come here for your 'special ' meal of your holiday or even just a wine tasting to take in the surroundings. You. Will. Not. Be. Disappointed."

"We arrived while the staff were at the front desk chatting, we very much felt like an inconvenience. The menu was boring and really disappointing given this is in the Novatel Resort. The service was minimal. My wine order was incorrect and given the disappointing service and food that followed, I really needed that wine! the fish and chips were average. The wedges were reminiscent of the ones found in the frozen section at the supermarket. I did not need to order desert as the salad dressing was so sticky sweet that it seemed mains and desert were combined. If this was a cafe on a main street in a country town then this would have been acceptable. I rarely write poor reviews, but I feel that this is warranted. Very disappointing experience."
