"Chateau Troplong Mondot is a lovely venue... The restaurant - on a vine covered restaurant is beautiful, charming, peaceful etc. The restaurant is comfortable; well-spaced tables and comfortable seating. The service was excellent and wines, of course, first rate. Service was a bit too speedy for me- would have liked a more relaxed pace.Food was generally excellent although the sauces on the snail starter and the pigeon were really too heavy for the weather (30º+), tasted too similar and should not, in my view, have been on the same "Menu Decouvert". However, everything else was delicious and looked spectacular on the plate. Bread was "historic"! The "Menu Decouvert" is the way to go with lots of excellent extras.Use the TukTuk service for the centre of St Emilion to get to the restaurant!"
