"This restaurant had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had the weekly banquet and was not able to finish and asked for a takeaway container, which I could see on the counter next to my table. I usually get a takeaway container for most meals, and I have never been refused, even in fine dining restaurants for which this place cannot be called. They refused to give me one as they did not want to mix the food flavours. If I have paid for the food, after it leaves the kitchen, it is up to me how I eat it. They would rather throw the food out than let me have what I paid for due to their pride. I saw the manager talking to a waiter about me and pointing to me which was extremely unprofessional. When I asked the waiter for a takeaway box as well, even for a single chicken leg that would not mix with other food, he said that the manager had told him to refuse. However, they packaged my dessert in takeaway boxes which means that they are able to give away takeaway boxes and this is not an OHS issue, they just refused to for the main meal. I am extremely disappointed and shocked, I will not be coming here again and will be telling everyone to avoid this restaurant."

"If you're used to fine quality authentic Asian dining then Eastern Tiger is not for you, however, if like me you've knocked about regional Australia, perhaps eaten at an RSL chinese or two, then this place will feel like a second home.The cuisine is best described as well and truly Australianised chinese, the usual standard fare were there, sweet and sour pork, beef black bean, honey chicken etc. Most food was turned over reasonably quick and cooked fresh there. The highlights for me were the BBQ Pork and cripsy skin chicken which I believe were reasonably authentic.We went on a Saturday night as it's the only night with fresh oysters from the coast but they had already been eaten by the time we arrived (7:30) but there were plenty of prawns and some crab still left. A basic basic salad bar existed, but you wouldn't come here as a vegetarian.My advice would be to sit down the front if possible, when we arrived there were lots of families (kids?) up on the top level and it was very loud. We ended up sitting in the front on the ground level which has the added advantage of being closer to the food!I booked a group of four using two groupons, ended up being about $60 for all of us including a drink eat, reasonable value especially as we all left packed to the gunnels! Could do worse and would be a good place to bring some kiddies."
