"Estate managed by a couple in love with his profession. nicole and frédéric manage a park of 500 ducks they give with love and transform into excellent foie gras. a shop offers foie gras, rillettes, magrets, confis but a small nice restaurant awaits you with two menus of course duck based. it's nicole who cooks and frédéric does the service when he doesn't sell his products in the surrounding markets. the menus are at quite correct prices and cheap drinks. good time in the france that deserts but where enthusiasts try to create something of quality."

"A very welcoming restaurant located in the centre of the pretty village of Mouliherne. They offered a very tasty four course meal for under €13. It serves as a tabac and bar, the outside terrace area provides a relaxing place to spend a couple of hours watching village life."

"A group of seven of us have just eaten at La Chaumiere in this village. We all totally enjoyed what we ate which varied from the extensive serve yourself buffet to a choice of 'cuisse de canard', steak or salmon in butter sauce, all served with salad or 'frites'. There was a delicious choice of ice cream, fresh fruit salad and creme caramel for dessert. The meal includes a cheese course with wine included. Fantastic value for money and a wonderful atmosphere. We have all booked for the special Christmas meal being held next weekend. We would recommend anybody to visit this restaurant which has a consistently high standard."

"Visited on a sunny Friday lunchtime. Very busy, workers tend to arrive at 12 and others at 1. Separate bar area and some outside seating. For €12.50 there is a buffet station with salad, charcuterie etc, then a main dish, we all ate steak frites. Next a good selection of cheese with bread. Then a choice of pudding from the display fridge including chocolate mousse, creme caramel and fruit salad. Coffee ends the meal! Also included for 4 of us was water, a litre of cider and a litre of red wine. All food was prepared with care and was very enjoyable."
