"I’m normally a fan of Guzman for getting closer to rich savoury Mexican flavours than all the tex-mex imitators in Australia, but the UNSW branch is definitely dumbing it down for the students. The burrito seemed smaller than usual and had virtually no salsa, which also reduced the spiciness and it just didn't seem to have the usual Guzman flavour. Everything is served as takeaway, even though they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. They don’t even have the Mexican cola, just lots and lots of coke (at least they also have beer). This wouldn’t fly if the students had decent food choices in the surrounding area."

"Wow no idea why this place is rated so low! Their naked burrito is my go-to option for a cheap, fast, tasty, healthy/balanced and super satisfying meal.<br>

Sure, some of the food could be a bit fresher, and the ambience resembles an airport canteen. Just a bit of re-styling would go a long way in creating a much friendlier and more enjoyable vibe (come on guys, mexican food is big right now, if you got an interior designer in people would flock here!). But I'll keep returning regardless."

"I went with my gf for quick dinner at the store at crown street over a month ago ... The chicken looked like it was there for hours , the steak seems so dry , the young tall guy who on that day who was wearing a yellow bandana couldn't even roll my burrito properly, there was a girl ( angie) i thing she is the manager she was talking to me in Spanish, I was like we are in Australia that s the law , why the manager doesn't have staff who speak English and not Spanish!!!!... It's Australia not Mexico..... plus I remember there was a girl on the grill area with very dark short hair, she was the only one working, while all the others girls were laughing and dancing , where is the manager is at ???? Why this poor girl has to take all the rubbish on her own when u guys have a young guy standing and do nothing ...It look like a damn primary school... U guys should be ashamed to hired staff like that...the food is shit as , u guys not even cooking anything .....al ready made up food... I watched u guys open bags and just pouring into the pot , ) I do not call fresh food ....)))) u guys are ridiculous... Don t ever go there !!!"

"Needed a quick bite to eat so popped in here - just got a pulled pork quesadilla and tomatoes - nice flavour, pretty small (but they are very cheap :) I also got corn chips and guacamole (which is freshly made). They also sell burritos, bowls, etc also churros! Pretty busy, but also fast.

"Pretty average in comparison to other Mexican places like Mad Mex and Guzman Y Gomez. <br>
Upon browsing the menu i was disappointed to find that enchiladas were not a thing here and settled for a chipotle chicken fajita instead (which seemed similar to an enchilada). <br>
My partner ordered the mucho burrito (which he said was okay but nothing spectacular). We also ordered chili con carne nachos to share. I also got a watermelon margarita. <br>
When ordering i specifically asked for my fajita to have no rice or beans in it but extra chicken instead (i was willing to pay extra) however when my food arrived it had rice inside. By then though i could not be bothered to ask them to fix it as the food took long enough to arrive and everyone would have finished eating by the time they fixed my order up. <br>
There were no outstanding flavours in the meal, everything tasted pretty average. I would say i enjoyed the margarita more than the food. <br>
If i were to return, it would be purely for the customer service (which was really welcoming and friendly despite how long they take to bring food to you) and the watermelon margarita."

"I tend to love the atmosphere and the decor in Mexican restaurants. They are usually colorful, with a bar-like, funny atmosphere. Calaveras was not different. Great place for drinks and winding after a long week. <br>

To share, we ordered the Guacamole, some Tacos and the beef Fajita. Guacamole was fresh and a big starter. I would have liked to serve a whole (or 2) alone. The plates of Tacos came next with a mixture of pulled pork, chicken and fish; And I could not help the Tacos very small. Anyway, taste way, they were decent, but were not excellent. They all seemed to create the same from the red sauce. They were spicy, but lacked these Mexican flavors I was thereafter. The beef strips for the Fajitas came across some rice + 3 tortillas on the side (which serves with restaurants in odd numbers). Fajita was okay, spicy, although I did not like the bovine strips were cut too fine. They reminded me of minced meat and saw more ...
