"This is the more upmarket of Hotel Wilder Mann's two restaurants. It is an attractive wood-panelled room. I had clear soup followed by saddle of lamb in a rich sauce, both OK."

"On the occasion of our wedding we had planned and carried out a small champagne reception in the castle restaurant. Lovely the terrace was created for us. Friendly and helpful was addressed to our wishes. The small buffet was very delicious and great. All of our guests were completely enthusiastic."

"Sind zu 2 eingekehrt, der Kellner war nett und höflich, aber man hat uns leider regelrecht verschaukelt. Aber dazu gleich mehr. Hatten Vorspeise und Hauptgang bestellt, meine Frau Bruscetta und ich Büffelmozzarella, war beides Qualitativ hochwertig, der Koch sollte mehr Mut beim Würzen haben, meine Caprese war gar nicht gewürzt, aber Topfrisch. Als Hauptgang hatte meine Frau Lammkoteletts mit Bohnengemüse. Fleisch war zart, gut gebraten, vernünftig gewürzt, Bohnengemüse mit auf den Punkt gegarten grünen Bohnen (auch farblich Top) mit Kartoffeln untereinander. Und nun mein Hauptgang: Rinderfiletsteak, Kräuterkruste, Kartoffelecken, Buttergemüse, Rinderfilet war aus dem Kopf geschnitten, war die dicke Sehne noch drin und medium-well gebraten, konnte man durch die Sehne kaum kauen, (Sehne kann ja mal passieren) Buttergemüse bestand aus medit. Gemüse, aber ohne Gewürz, Kartoffelecken waren OK, hab mich beim Kellner beschwert und gesagt, das ich selber Koch bin, man bot mir auch höflich eine neue Portion an, aber es kam ein Stück helles Fleisch unter der Kruste, welches fast durchgebraten war, und die Kartoffelecken waren die selben die ich vorher bekommen hatte, nochmals frittiert, die trieften vor Fett, hab mich direkt beim Kellner beschwert ob die mich veräppeln wollen, das sei im Leben kein Rinderfilet, was die mir denn untergejubelt hätten, ob es vielleicht Kalb wäre, .darauf antwortete er direkt und höflich: Ja, da haben Sie Recht es sei Kalb. Ich habs nicht probiert, direkt zurückgehen lassen, war eh fast durch, der Abend für mich gelaufen, und ich wollte nicht nochmal warten.. Er hat mir als Entschuldigung einen Espresso ausgegeben. Fazit: Kann man durch solche Verhaltensweisen nicht empfehlen, das hat ja auch mit Vertrauen zu tun, von den Zutaten an sich darf man nicht meckern, schon hochwertig, Potential ist schon da, aber noch viel Luft nach oben, durch sowas macht man sich mehr Feinde als Freunde. Preislich? wenn alles gut gewesen wäre, wäre es ein sehr ordentliches Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, gute und frische Produkte zum relativ günstigen Preis. Normal müsste ich es getrennt bewerten, bei meiner Frau 4 Punkte und bei mir nur 1."
