"Le Pont Roups n'était pas notre premier choix, mais en raison de la fête de Mende d'autres établissement étaient complets et nous avons réservé ici. Ce fut une excellente surprise... Nous avons profité d'une des dernières belles soirées de l'été pour diner en terrasse sur un petit balcon en hauteur avec une jolie vue sur Mende.. Service attentionné, sympathique mais discret. Un menu "spécial fête de Mende" à 31 euro avec une mise en bouche (crême brulée au foie gras), une entrée (nous avons pris la terrine de foie gras qui était accompagné d'une excellente confiture de poivron originale et du meilleur effet gustatif), et en plat nous avons choisi respectivement un civet de sanglier (très gouteux) et une spécialité lozérienne de tripes d'agneau et veau dont le nom m'échappe; le tout accompagné au choix d'aligot ou de ratatouille; en dessert nous avons opté pour une tarte aux myrtilles... La seule petite critique concerne les cartes: celles des plats est un cahier spiralé avec de simples feuilles A4 sorties d'une imprimante. Sans doute très pratique et économique pour changer les menus proposés, mais esthétiquement et qualitativement pas à la hauteur du reste de l'établissement. La carte des vins (même conception) est bien fournie mais pas du tout à jour (le sommelier nous a avoué n'avoir pas eu le temps de le faire). Résultat beaucoup de références barrées; ça ne fait pas très bon effet... Au global une très bonne soirée !"
