"No idea what to make of it! at the beginning I must say that the sparkling cream tee was very good. it came as part of a package that we bought a tour through charles thickens former residency. the tour was surreal. a little from a cross between madame tussauds and faulty towers, but in an old fashion English sea way ask and amuse. I would not recommend it as a target stop or a reason to visit broadstairs, but overall a pleasant experience in a downhill style and wise, the employees are very happy and happy to be service."

"Probably the best roast I’ve had out. Perfectly cooked pork belly and beef, perfect roast potatoes, beautifully tasting red cabbage, lovely heritage carrots, tasty cauliflower cheese and the most wonderful gravy. Something green would’ve been good but extremely tasty and a good portion size nonetheless....Lovely surroundings and helpful friendly staff. Will definitely return and highly recommend"

"Broadly speaking. A must-visit if you're ever in Thanet. Broadstairs is the nicest town of those that lie beyond the Wantsum river. Peenst has some outside tables, which overlooks Viking Bay.<br br/>It serves breakfast from whether you just want a coffe and a croissant or a full English. The latter isn't on the menu (it's not that sort of place) but you can construct a Full Monty, item by item, choosing from the eggs Benedict, field mushrooms, rare-breed sauasages, local bacon, et al which are on offer. <br br/>There's range of bar snacks and tapas items cooked to order by Matt, the owner- chef. The burgers are popular as are the organic smoothies. Try the superfood salad or fish stew with saffron.<br br/>The kitchen stays open until br/>It's a lively place at night, often with live music, open until midnight at the weekend."

"I had the best fish and chips here I’ve ever had in my entire life. The fish itself was fresh, flaky, and perfectly juicy, and the batter was light, airy, and despite me covering it in lemon and vinegar, managed to remain completely crispy throughout the course of eating it. The triple cooked chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the fresh tartar sauce was also extremely high quality. The entire meal fantastic. 9.5 for the fish and chips, I’m not sure what you can actually do to better such a perfectly simple plate of food.One little touch I loved seeing was the chef came out onto the floor and spent a solid ten minutes talking to a couple about the food taking extra time to entertain their six year old, too. Really nice!Service was great, and the overall ambience of the dining area was lovely we also had drinks in the area where you wait before you are seated, and that in and of itself could be considered as a separate experience very nice chairs, views out of the window, and just a nice overall calmness.If I had to make one criticism, it’s that the food comes out perhaps a little too fast, and the service seemed to drop off rapidly after the main was brought out, but it’s barely enough to even bother mentioning.Oh actually, one other criticism is that they need to update the menus some things weren’t available and were no longer made easily fixed!Overall, a solid 9/10 eating experience. Beautiful food and exceptionally well priced."
