"We had lunch at the main restaurant by the sea and this place is one of the best in the greater Lübeck area. The culinary focus is seafood although the restaurant also serves seasonal dishes such as white asparagus as well as meat dishes. The location by Hemmelsdorfer is lovely, service is professional, the restaurant is well equipped for dining with children and the kitchen makes excellent fish dishes. The only critique I have is such as can be levied towards several German restaurants: they forget about the vegetables. At German cuisine restaurants all the focus is on proteins and carbs. Fishermans is no exception in this regard. In my case, I ordered a lovely fresh trout served with lemon and herb butter and potatoes. This was excellent but there was no vegetables to complement the dish, except for a green salad which really was more of a side dish.Thus Fisherman's falls short of five points, but I will definitely recommend it as this is one of the best fish restaurants in the greater Lübeck area.Bonus for excellent coffee!"

"For me it was the best restaurant on this holiday. The other two in which we weren't bad, but that's out. I had a steak and my wife fish, both were perfect. Six years ago, I must say the quality is still great. Go!"

"The main feature of this restaurant is its location close to the Timmendorfer Strand (famous German beach and holiday destination near Lübeck). Hence, the view of some German parts of the Baltic Sea is stunning. My wife and I were invited by a friend to lunch. Despite being a weekday, the place was very busy and we had to wait for about 10 minutes to find a vacant table on the large deck outdoors. Meal orders have to be given inside. In return you get an electronic device which beeps when the order is ready to be collected. We all had seafood dishes (mussels, various grilled fish and French fries). Our orders were well proportioned and well cooked. To wash it all down, we had white wine and mineral water. As we were invited, I can't comment on the final bill. However, from glancing over the printed menu, mains were between 11-18 Euros, wine around 15 Euros. Should we be in that particular geographic region of Germany again in the future, another visit to Gosch at Scharbeutz is always on the cards. Gosch restaurants seem to be a franchise or chain and there are others located for example on the islands of Sylt and Rügen."
