"We had been geocaching in Bala in the rain and googled dog friendly pub, this place came up and didn't disappoint. Enjoyed the food and warm friendly atmosphere."

"Falafel Starter, sweet potato curry, Jackfruit curry and delicious sorbet! Staying here as a hotel and they could not do enough for us, as a vegan, bringing soy milk into our room for tea and talking is through their food preparation to ensure that everything was for our satisfaction. Note that this little Welsh town wasn't much on offer for vegans, but this hotel did everything they could to ensure that our stay was what we needed! UPDATE: Breakfast the next morning was epic that they did not cook enough for us much fresh for us to not cross-contamination (such as buffet style) they also pulled out a pack of Violife cheese for us, so we could have cheese on toast! #AMAZING"

"I was glad to find this place when we had coffee and ice cream in Bala. Fair prices and was good to get a decent coffee with oat milk. Friendly staff, too. Would you like to see more ice options, but for a small shop 1 vegan ice cream and a few sorbets is a good start!"

"A brilliant find. Stopped for fuel across the road and was tempted by the long queue for ice cream outside the shop. Salt caramel double scoop was very creamy and delicious and the raspberry was tart and sweet as it should be. Lovely ice cream and worth the visit to Bala in its own."

"Bala was very busy, much traffic and many people over, expected at a bank holiday weekend. After I passed a few places on the other side of the lake, I decided to try the lakeside cafe. the road is a little uneven and can be a little tricky to navigate on a motorcycle, as well as parking, but that did it without incident. I look forward to a nice, cooked breakfast after a 2 hours drive on the bike, but a little late arrived when breakfast stop was served at 11.30 a.m., instead I was offered a breakfast bag, which was a welcome compromise and pleasant. the friendly service and the intention of the sea made the visit worth. well worth a visit, a lot of seating, inside and outside, parking space also. the prices were reasonable in my opinion. look forward to a visit next time in the opposite."

"Just popped in for a quick coffee to break up our walk to Bala from Glanllyn Campsite and was REALLY pleasantly surprised! Delicious coffee, very welcoming, fire going in the Pizza Hut, lovely layout in the garden, nice clean and new tables and deck chairs, could quite easily have been in Lake Garda!"

"Very glad to find this cafe on a side street near to the main car park during a day out. We had our 2 boisterous grand daughters with us and while the lady serving was on her own the play area in the side dining room kept them occupied while we enjoyed a really good pot of tea first. The food was good and we all had a side salad with a dressing that was one of the nicest we've tasted. Sadly time didn't allow us to go back for tea and cakes later but we'll be visiting Bala again soon and this will be our choice of cafe."
