"The rudest people I have ever met. Made to feel uncomfortable from the word go. We arrived to find our usual restaurant next door had ALL tables reserved so went to Le Pied. We were immediately pounced upon by a waiter before even being given...a menu. We ordered 3 beers and a coke at 4 euros each, which is clearly tourist pricing. We were given an oversized Specials Board and we annoyed to find the Plat du Midi priced at 2 euros more expensive than in the actual menu. We decided not to bother with the food as nothing appealed to us and it seemed to be exploitative of tourists. We politely explained we would not be eating, to the waiter, who then went to get the Manager. He made a fool of himself by shouting at us that this was a restaurant not a bar. I add, at this point, that it was only 11am, the restaurant had only two of its tables reserved and two other couples there, so not exactly busy. We hurriedly drank our drinks, paid and left, all the while with the Manager shouting at us and pacing up and down in an aggressive manner. We are Restauranteurs. Bums on seats before lunch time is better than no bums on seats and generally encourages others to come in. We would never treat our patrons as this guy did, it was the rudest display I have ever witnessed, especially given that we were there with our children. No Excuse. It doesn't matter how good the food may have been, the overall vibe was BAD. Customer Service forms a huge part of the overall customer experience. We are frequent visitors to Ceret, but would never go to this place again. Don't waste your hard earned money on this joke of a restaurant."
