"Wow.... exceptional food... Great service and a fabulous atmosphere. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a knowledgeable and friendly hostess who recognised our booking having never seen us before. Coming from a role in F&B management, I seem to nitpick at all the inadequacies of waiting staff but for once I was stunningly surprised (to the point I'm actually taking the time and writing a review) James wasn't our waiter but he noticed when we were running short of drinks, he communicated to a high degree and really understood when to engage in a conversation and provided one of the best levels of customer service I think ive ever had from a waiter. Then for the food.... well... my son is a chef in a michelin star restaurant and this was almost certainly of the same if not better standard. The lamb was absolutely superb and coupled brilliantly with the wine recommended by James. I'm a difficult guest to get wowed and my partner is even harder to get money out of.... he left a tip and I've left a review... this restaurant is well worth a visit whatever the occasion. "Really decent pub feed in a nice environment. Particularly good on a sunny day so you can sit in the beer garden overlooking the river. Service was very efficient. Good selection of beers. "Went for drinks with friends on the terrace a sunny Saturday afternoon. Plan was to have a few drinks stay for food. Service was so awful we left without food. mins to get a waiter to take a drinks order, a further drinks to arrive (one bottle of prosseco shouldn’t take long to organise Exactly the same thing when we tried to order a second drink. Meanwhile waiters wandering round with plates of food the whole time trying to find the right table, must have been stone cold by the time it got to them. Such a shame, place is lovely, fab sun terrace, lots of staff on behind the bar but they seem to have no idea what they’re doing service couldn’t be worse. I cancelled our drink order when it didn’t arrive, manager asked why I told him, he said I’d only ordered mins ago as if that was a reasonable wait. Clearly very badly organised must be losing a fortune as a result. You lost out on drinks dinner for"
