"Have been there on several occasions (as I live in Pfronten) and I have to say that the hotel/restuarant is pretty exceptional! The food is always delicious, albeit a little expensive, but well worth the dollar. There are always several courses and the wine is "ganz lecker" (very tasty)! After eating there is a sort of sitting area near the fire where the whole group (or even just a couple) can sit and enjoy another glass of wine, champagne, or schnapps. If any of you are in Pfronten, I totally recommend this place. Breakfasts are good too. A large vareity of food (including Bacon, which I absolutely adored) and you can read the morning news in English if you so wish. The entire staff speaks english (or so I am told) and they are friendly!"

"Keep them in the mountains on a day. this place at the top of the wide mountain offers a beautiful terrace (one more is in construction) with a less stereotype kitchen than usual. we had a varied meal served in small glasses that were original for this type of place. do not hesitate to take a good half hour on a steep slope after the cable car and the sessellift."

"My wife and I just finished a superb meal in Schankwirtsschaft Wohlfahrt and after reading its reviews here on tripadvisor we decided we HAVE to give it it's right review!This restaurant is amazing!We are traveling in Germany for a week now, and this one is by far the best we ever had dinner in. The food was really delicious, and more important was really authentic (we were the only foreigners in the place), dishes were huge, fresh and very very good. My wife is on a gluten free diet, and the staff was very attentive, and fixed her an excellent meal. OH and the beer... My god their beer! Made by their own Brewery delicious and served in a unique huge cup.You have to try it!!!"
