"Went in there this morning shouldn't have bothered. No queue yet sold us two portions of soggy underdone chips. Forget crispiness we'd have just settled for not raw in the middle. Also ordered battered sausages very thin batter, no flavour, and sausages had nasty hard bone bits inside them. If a chip shop can't cook chips and batter particularly when it's quiet they shouldn't be operating in the first place."

"The banana blossom vegan fish is amazing, and the battered tofu is also spot on. The owners observe Lent by being vegan (Orthodox Catholic I think? so they're very knowledgeable about vegan food and cross contamination etc. Great chips also, highly recommend."

"We had four large fish and three chips for the four of us. Needless to say there was plenty of food. The batter on the fish was truly crispy and the fish itself was melt in the mouth. The chips were plentiful and were traditional chips, well cooked. The temperature of the food was well maintained, even though we took fifteen minutes or so to get 'home ' to eat."

"We tried Marino's as it looked the best place to get some food in the area. We tried the large haddock which was extremely fresh and not too heavily battered. It was cooked to perfection and very large. The chips survived the journey back to our hotel and were plentiful. All was nicely presented in a box. There is a big step into the shop so care was needed getting in."
