"My “think she’s grown” 9-year-old received a Starbucks gift card for Christmas and has tried one drink. Today, she wanted to try a different drink from her usual Cookie Crumble Mocha so I ordered it. However, when I got to the window, the kind, concerned young lady named Kaylee warned me that the particular drink she selected would be too much for someone her age. I took heed to Kaylee’s warning and changed the drink immediately. I know absolutely nothing about coffee and I appreciate her being concerned for my child. Of course my daughter was upset and said Kaylee should have minded her own business, but that’s to be expected of a sassy 9-year-old. I on the other hand, am glad and hope she continues to warn other unsuspecting parents such as myself. Hats off to Kaylee"

"Great experience here last Saturday. I took my 12-year-old here for a children's coffee and the lady waiting for us really liked my daughter. She had a nice quick conversation with us. When we left my daughter, she said she was really nice. I'd give them 5 stars, but $12 for 2 coffee is a kind of demolition"

"You know how people wake up on the wrong side of bed? the ?manager? taking orders in the drive-thru woke up on the wrong side of life. Don?t go there if you are even the tiniest bit unsure of what you want (those of you with kids know how long it takes toorder sometimes). Because if you pause for the slightest bit while ordering you will be treated as if you are single-handedlybankrupting the store? and then refused service because you asked why you were being talked to as if you are the reason COVIDcame into existence. I am sorry my 8 year old took 15 seconds to order her milkshake at 7am. I am even more sorry that,according to you, your voice always makes you sound like the most miserable person in the world. Although after thatinteraction, my guess is that you are the most miserable person in the world to be around."

"I really love the Artist 's Cafe. It 's one of my favorite places to visit in Chicago generally for breakfast before shopping at Artist and Craftsman Supply and the Art Institute. My family of four had breakfast Saturday morning before our walk through Grant and Millennium Parks and visiting the AIC. My son had the Alaska Pancakes pancakes with vanilla ice cream (it 's vacation, he 's 18, don 't judge) and my daughter the croissant french toast. Both looked amazing and were delicious. We had the Athenian omelet super fresh and tasty and I had one of their specials, the Swedish pancakes with lingonberries and ham. Really good and I generally hate pancakes but it sounded good (thin and lingonberries). Service was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Brought extra lingonberry sauce and kept the coffee coming to power us through our day! Walked by later in the day, and saw lunch. Didn 't go in but my daughter said, next time! and can 't she (diner) just pass over a fry! Yum!"
