"Durch Zufall sind wir hier an einem Sonntag-Mittag gelandet und fühlten uns in dem traumhaft in die üppige Natur eingebetteten Burgvorhof mit Biergarten wie in einer anderen Zeit! Jeden Augenblick einen edlen Ritter zu Pferde erwartend... Wunderschön sind auch die alten, verwachsenen Bäume ringsum, der Platz sprüht nur so vor Energie und sie spenden einen angenehmen Schatten im Sommer.Die Bedienung war "etwas" überlastet obwohl gegen 13 Uhr an einem herrlichen Sonntag noch nicht allzu viel los war. Sie waren mit der Beseitigung der Überreste einer am Vortag im Burgverlies statt gefundenen Hochzeit beschäftigt, so daß zunächst nur ein Kellner zaghaft erstmal die Getränke aufnahm, die dann eine Viertelstunde später am Tisch standen. Das Essen dauerte dann auch ziemlich lange von Bestellung bis servieren und wegen des Tagesangebots Schäuferle, welches an der Tafel vorm Objekt angepriesen wurde und das ich dann bestellte, muß man nicht dringend hin. Da habe. Ich vielerorts schon viel bessere gegessen. Die Soße war ein nicht erhebendes Fertigprodukt, man konnte es essen, aber es war keine Offenbarung. Dennoch verdient die idyllische Umgebung 5 Punkte. Abzug gibt es bei Qualität und Service. Ein schöner Ort für Wanderer oder Zufallsgäste wie uns. Nach dem Essen fuhren wir dann noch andere Orte der schönen Fränkischen Schweiz mit ihren idyllischen Plätzen an und werden sicher ein anderes Mal für eine Brotheit hierher zurückkehren. Für Wanderer und Familien mit Kindern und Hunden sicherlich ein schöner Ort zum Verweilen."
