"My family and I stayed at the on-site hostel for three nights. The first night we ate there despite not eating seafood/fish as we were tired from traveling. With each round, a couple different botanas were brought out. It actually was a perfect light supper with delicious food and excellent prices. Guest receive 15% off, which is likehaving the tip included.Trevor, his partner, and staff are doing a wonderful job with El Pulpo. It is a relaxed environment for families. When they add a non-seafood/fish item or two to the menu, it will be all the better."

"Restaurant has a beach feeling. Swimming pool, roof terrace etc. Service was excellent. Remixto spoke English Mayan and Spanish. I enjoyed the ceviche garlic shrimps and tamarind juice. Everything was so good. The surprise was the potato side dish. It reminded me of shells. Delicious."

"Stumbled upon this little gem while looking for another well regarded Taqueria and decided to give it a try. Tidy little "hole in the wall" with intriguing blackboard menus featuring a range of seafood selections. Happy to see pulpo tacos and curious about the "berberechos"...; my suspicions were confirmed when they brought out a fresh bowl of cockles. Yum! Tender pulpo tacos and briny cockle ones were an amazing treat washed down with a couple of cold Tecates. Friendly family unit of Mom, Dad and toddler cooked everything to order and treated us as family. Don't believe they have been open long, but see a bright future for them in the exciting Valladolid food scene! They also offer ceviches which we have on our radar when we stop back next month.."

"Nous avons été très déçus par ce restaurant conseillé par le Routard ! Une fois que nous l'avons trouvé, en soirée, le propriétaire partait. Déjà je doutais ! Une adresse conseillée où il n'y a pas de clients et qui ferme à 19H30, bizarre !!!Le propriétaire heureux de voir des clients nous dit qu'il va ouvrir et rappeler son cuisinier.Il nous propose son plat fétiche sans nous parler du prix.Au final : coup de bambou sur la note et cuisine sèche et pas goûteuse du tout !!!Je pense que le Routard devrait y retourner faire un tour ! Décoration kitch, propriétaire enjoué mais n'est ce pas pour attirer le client ???C'est de la publicité mensongère, passez votre chemin ! Mieux vaut manger au Bazar Municipal."

"We had been here 1 before and the food was great so we jumped at the chance when our friends mentioned they were going and asked us if we wanted to tag along. They are regulars so we know the place must have great food....We were not disappointed. Our friends told us about some things that were not on the menu and other things they have tried since we were last here. The fish they recommended was great, so were the botanas that come free of charge. We had a wonderful lunch that was at a nice slow pace and the only stress was trying to decide what to order. The staff was Excellent."
