"We write again....visited L'Ocean last night and once again, outstanding service and food. In the light of the pandemic, this felt a very safe place to be and enjoy excellent cuisine and service. Perfectly attentive but never overly so. We would all (kids included) recommend...L'Ocean by far our favourite restaurant (not just on Ile De Re). My husband as always, skipped dessert and went straight for the Irish Coffee. He is still saying try it!"
In nice weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area, and there is no-charge WiFi. The rooms on site are accessible, and therefore no problem for clientele with wheelchairs or physical disabilities.

"Avons testé la version restauration rapide 1 sandwich, 2 hot dog ! Le sandwich relativement petit... et les hot dog pré fabriqués ! reste que à passer le tout au four 3 mn ! Bref vraiment pas la gloire ! Et le tarif par contre... même si le hot dog n'est pas top vaut mieux l'apprécier à ce prix ! J'aurais préféré un simple morceau de pain et des saucisses de Strasbourg de qualité."

"This noon we have very good eating, a super welcome, servers to the top and has a more than reasonable price yet thank you to redo."

"Having seen this little bar on the way from the ferry we returned after walking round the island (it’s a small island! . All the seats were full and on enquiry we found a queuing system of standing outside the shop opposite was in action. The waitress was always aware of who was next and was quick to turn around the tables and so we waited about 10 or 15 minutes. The food was good, both what we had (moules frites and what we saw others have. Service was polite friendly and the ambience was good. It was pretty reasonably priced (moules frites about 12 euros . We would happily go again on our next visit. It is linked to a small brewery behind the church but it was closed when we went. The takeaway hatch of the bar sell the bottled beer if you want some."
